The Kennedy Institute is a world-leading research institute that carries out basic and translational research into immune function and inflammatory disease include immune mediated inflammatory disease (including Rheumatoid Arthritis and Inflammatory Bowel Disease), mechano-inflammatory disease (including osteoarthritis and tendinopathy), cancer, infection, biophysics, microbiome, metabolism, aging, computational biology, heart disease and tissue healing.

ABOUT OUR 4 YEAR NON-CLINICAL DPHIL DOCTORAL TRAINING PROGRAMME (KTPSS)
- Stipend funding for 4 years ( approx. £24,000 per annum), all tuition/fees (UK/ROI & Overseas tuition), including funding for laboratory expenses, training and conference travel
- AfOx Kennedy DPhil studentship is a joint partnership between Africa Oxford Initiative for students from Africa to undertake a fully funded 4 year Molecular and Cellular Medicine DPhil at the Kennedy Institute in partnership with host institution.
ABOUT OUR 3 YEAR CLINICAL DPHIL DOCTORAL TRAINING PROGRAMME (KTPSS)
- Funding for 3 year at clinical pay grade, tuition/fees, including allowance for laboratory expenses, training and conference travel, mentoring by clinical academic
- Must be working for an NHS/HES Trust in F1 – Specialist Registrar / Pre-consultant stages in career progression
- Require consent of NHS/HES Trust and training director
