We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to work in a varied support role within a research environment.

This is a part time (50% FTE), fixed term position for 3 years
 
Are you an enthusiastic and organised individual? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a varied support role within a research environment?
 
If so, we are looking for a Personal Assistant to the Director of Research, to join the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, within the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences at the University of Oxford.
 
Professor Michael Dustin holds the prestigious Kennedy Trust chair in molecular immunology and is a senior research fellow at Harris Manchester College.
 
You will manage the diary of Professor Dustin, using initiative to make considered judgements when juggling the demands placed on the schedule, making complex travel arrangements for UK and international travel, including making arrangements for visas where necessary and prepare and circulate papers, agendas, minutes and draft briefing notes as appropriate.  
 
You will be educated to A-Level standard, or equivalent experience, have the ability to draft correspondence and to produce well-presented reports, as well as have experience of diary management and proficient in audio/touch typing. The attention to detail and high level of accuracy is essential, as is the ability to manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload and work to deadlines. Experience of using financial information systems (e.g. Oracle Financials) and events organising is desirable.
