Our Governance
Leadership
In 2022, we initiated a new governance structure to assist the Director in managing the Institute and to support effective, timely decision making that considers needs across research groups.
The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) of Director Fiona Powrie, Director of Research Mike Dustin, Director of Clinical Research Chris Buckley and Head of Operations Jonathan Truslow develops overall policy and strategy for the Institute in coordination with NDORMS and the Medical Sciences Division.
The broader Senior Leadership Team co-ordinates the activities and development of the Institutes' five science platforms within the overall policy of the Institute. It manages the operations of all Small Research Facilities (SRF’s) and informs the ELT of their investment priorities. Its membership includes all platform leads and other key positions.
Both leadership teams keep all the Institute's research groups informed of plans and policies through regular Management Committee meetings.
