ARTIMMUS (artificial murine multiple sclerosis simulation)
The ARTIMMUS simulation is an agent-based simulation of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis, a T-cell mediated autoimmune disease. It has been developed with expert input from Dr Vipin Kumar of TPIMS, San Diego, and is described in detail in our paper in PLoS One. http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0080506
ARTIMMUS is available for free download below. The Supporting Information document provides a comprehensive detail of the biological underpinning or ARTIMMUS, including graphical models, literature survey, and results of a robustness analysis applied to this simulation.
ARTIMMUS has been also used in the Williams BMC Bioinformatics (http://markread.info/pubs/BMC_Bioinformatics_13_-_DC_Regulation.pdf) and the Greaves Biosystems (http://markread.info/pubs/BioSystems_12_Extending.pdf) papers, The zip file contains source code, instructions for installing the simulation in eclipse, and the analysis scripts used to perform and analyse experimental data.
