Mohammed Tayab Hussain

PhD student

Following a BSc in Medical Science and a MSc in Immunology and Immunotherapy at the University of Birmingham, Mohammed Hussain spent three years in various academic laboratories working on projects related to inflammation and leukocyte trafficking.

In 2020, Mohammed Hussain joined the group of Dr Lucy Norling at Queen Mary University of London, where he was awarded a PhD Scholarship jointly funded by the Centre for OA Pathogenesis Versus Arthritis and the Centre of inflammation and Therapeutic Innovation (https://www.qmul.ac.uk/citi/). His PhD project aims to characterize the extracellular vesicle profile during OA. Through this work he hopes to improve patient stratification and bolster drug discovery efforts.
