With a view to immunology, the formation of rosettes (cell aggregates formed by the conjugation of a number of erythrocytes with a single T lymphocyte) is studied. The parameter measured in a typical rosetting experiemnt is the percentage of lymphocytes with three or more bound erythrocytes. The question of the possibility of gaining additional information of CD2 LFA-3 interaction under different biochemical conditions is addressed in this study throught he use of statistical thermodynamics.
