Fiona Powrie, Director of the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology is joining Wellcome as a new Governor in Jan 2018. Fiona says she’s thrilled to join Wellcome: "It’s an organisation I’ve admired since I started my research career. Through funding great scientific ideas, Wellcome is committed to promoting health around the world. It will be an honour to help deliver this goal."

Dr Kate Coldwell has joined the Oxford Centre for Microbiome Studies at the Kennedy Institute to study the links between liver disease and gut bacteria, having been awarded the Daphne Jackson Fellowship, co-funded by the Kennedy Trust for Rheumatology Research (KTRR) and the Medical Research Council.
