Thomas Layton

Thomas studied Medicine at the University of Manchester, passing each year with distinction and graduating with a medical prize for first place in written finals. At Manchester he also obtained a first class BSc in anatomical sciences with a thesis entitled, "Investigating neuroendocrine markers of small cell lung cancer". This work was awarded a one year Wolfson Foundation Scholarship. 


During his foundation training Thomas was awarded a Oxford-Celgene Research Fellowship to undertake a DPhil in Translational Immunology. This research aims to explore key molecular pathways that govern fibrosis.
