About the Meeting
Cutting Edge Osteoarthritis is a focused one day meeting with an exciting programme of 8 internationally renowned speakers presenting the cutting edge of osteoarthritis research, preceded by a half day pre-meeting designed for early career scientists. The first meeting was in 2015 and it runs every two years in June.
The half-day pre-meeting is an opportunity for students and young post-docs to network with each other and with leaders in the osteoarthritis field. We always aim to provide an opportunity to present to as many of those who submit an abstract as possible, through a range of different types of presentation, and an extended poster session. There is also a keynote presentation on academic career pathways, followed by an informal dinner in the College. Past keynote speakers include Patrick Maxwell, Luke O'Neill and Cyrus Cooper.
The meeting is held at Pembroke College in the centre of Oxford. Full details of previous speakers can be found here.
Unfortunately, the meeting scheduled for June 2021 was postponed due to Covid-19, but we are pleased to say that this has been rescheduled for 4-5 July 2022 at St Hilda's College in Oxford.
Confirmed speakers include Prof Peter Winlove, Dr Tamara Alliston, Prof Dani Prieto Alhambra, Dr Joyce van Meurs, Dr Anke Roelofs, Dr Jamie Soul. Prof Alison Noble, University of Oxford will give the careers talk at the pre-meeting on 4 July.
