An upcoming clinician-scientist, passionate about the translation of basic immunology research into therapeutics and policy.

My research focuses on unravelling key stages of neutrophil development and understanding the heterogeneity of neutrophils during articular inflammation caused by rheumatoid arthritis. These insights may be useful for the design of neutrophil-targeted therapies. I am working under the supervision of Professor Irina Udalova, Professor Marco Fritzsche and Dr Kristina Zec.

I trained as a medical doctor in Malawi and transitioned into immunology research with the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Programme. My work centred on immune responses to tuberculosis and COVID-19. I led the first national serosurveys in Malawi during the pandemic and contributed to health policy development in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. I went on to complete my Masters in Integrated Immunology at the University of Oxford in 2022.
