Katie Roberts
Scientific Writer
I joined the Kennedy Institute in 2023 to manage the scientific output of the Institute and to increase visibility and impact. My role is to advise and assist with the preparation of reports, promotional materials, grant applications, and other documentation to ensure that the world-class research of the Institute is communicated clearly and effectively.
My PhD research, at the University of Manchester, explored how the dynamics of Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kappa B) cell signalling relate to the cell cycle. Since graduating I have spent my time writing about science in a variety of contexts – first as a Medical Writer and then as a Content Manager in the biotechnology sector. I am also experienced with enabling others to develop their editorial skills and to craft compelling scientific writing.
