Pharmacist with a keen interest in immunology, trying to understand what drives lymphocytes compartmentalisation
Biography
During my undergraduate, I was fortunate enough to have found exhilarating joy in academic research. After achieving a first-class degree in MPharm at Nottingham, I finished my one-year pre-registration training in York and then worked as a hospital pharmacist in Suffolk.
I am particularly interested in understanding leukocyte migration—how immune cells navigate complex tissue environments, responding to chemotactic signals and mechanical constraints. Inspired by people in the field, I aim to explore the fundamental principles governing immune cell motility, from integrin-mediated adhesion to amoeboid migration.
By bridging fundamental cell biology with translational immunology, I hope to contribute to a deeper understanding of immune surveillance and tissue inflammation, with potential implications for therapeutic strategies in IMIDs.
