About Us and Our Mission
Advanced Microscopy in the Kennedy brings together leading expertise and technology, to both use and develop cutting-edge microscopy methods. By building connections across Oxford and championing a culture for respect and innovation in microscopy, the facility aims to future-proof excellence for Bioimaging within Oxford, keeping it competitive with international research.
Software
arivis AG (a ZEISS company) partners with Oxford-ZCoE in order to empower researchers with the latest technology and advances in image analysis. Oxford-ZCoE together with its IT infrastructure will host arivis VisionHub, a platform that will allow researchers to have access to image data and image analysis capabilities at any time from any location and any device. VisionHub will represent the nucleus for computational activity and collaboration, will enable the execution of large-scale experiments that require faster access to image analysis and results
Access: Booking, Pricing and Training
Our goal is to best support the innovative and important research undertaken in the KIR, IDRM and beyond. We encourage all potential users, including short term projects, to seek training in basic principles and specific instrumentation such that researchers are confident in their microscopy.
About Us and Our Mission
The Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology was the first in Europe to adopt the Cell DIVE™ technology in 2020 as part of a small research facility (SRF) that has steadily expanded in the past 2 years, with current capacity extending to over 70 members running more than 40 biomarkers across human, mouse and macaque tissues.
Cytokine analysis
We have experience in detecting cytokine expression in stool samples and are able to offer a service to run ELISAs to detect cytokines of interest in Ethanol fixed or Fresh/Frozen stool samples. We have optimised the detection of many different cytokines and continue to expand our panel. Please contact us if your cytokine of interest is not listed below and we can discuss working to optimise the experimental protocol. Please also contact us to discuss your requirements before starting a project, as the type of sample collected (freshly frozen or fixed) may affect the cytokines we are able to detect (Table 1).
