BSc (Hons), MSc (R)
Clinical Trial Manager / Research Coordinator
I joined NDORMS in July 2017 working on research projects led by Dr. Fiona Watt in the Centre for Osteoarthritis Pathogenesis Versus Arthritis. I am currently Trial Manager for the HOPE-e study which is investigating whether it is feasible for postmenopausal women with painful hand osteoarthritis to take an estrogen-containing therapy. I also work on two other observational studies; the KICK study, a longitudinal study of individuals with joint injury, examining their later risk of osteoarthritis, and the MenTOR study which is investigating meniscal tear and risk of osteoarthritis.
Prior to my current role I worked as a Research Technician at the Bristol Veterinary School, working on projects related to canine osteoarthritis. My MSc (R) awarded in June 2018 involved a therapeutic clinical trial of docosahexaenoic acid supplementation in dogs with osteoarthritis.
I graduated in 2012 from Sparsholt College (University of Portsmouth) with a BSc (Hons) degree in Equine Studies and went on to spend a year in Kentucky assisting with exercise physiology and nutritional research in Thoroughbred horses.
