DPhil Student
I am a DPhil student in Fränze Progatzky’s lab, focusing on the development of glial cells in barrier tissues, such as the lungs and skin.
I completed my BSc (Hons) in Medical Sciences at the University of Edinbrugh, where I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Rebecca Gentek, investigating the origins of synovial macrophages and melanoma-associated mast cells. Following this, I pursued an MSc in Integrated immunology at the University of Oxford, where I spent Trinity term visualising the colonisation of the nervous system and its interactions with mast cells in the developing lung. Now in the Progatzky lab, I plan to expand on my MSc research by investigating the development of the glial network in the lung and skin, with a specific focus on how factors like the microbiota and immune cells influence this process.
