Human Resources Manager

I am responsible for all aspects of the delivery of the HR service across NDORMS. This includes identifying needs and leading the development and delivery of new HR initiatives and policies to improve HR service provision to all members of the Department. I also provide coaching, training and support, as required, to Principal Investigators and managers in the application of relevant personnel policies and procedures, as well as providing practical advice on human resources employee relations issues including harassment, grievance, disciplinary, absence and performance with due regard to University policies and procedures and employment legislation.

I also support the Athena Swan initiative and am a member of the Athena Swan Self-Assessment Team.

I joined the NDORMS HR Team in 2013 and although I hold a degree in Modern Language Studies from the University of Nottingham, I have since taken on further study and am an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), so please feel free to get in touch at any time with any HR queries.
