Emmanuelle Sidot

Postdoctoral Researcher

My current research focuses on the role of the microbiota during colorectal cancer

I did my PhD in the lab of Dr Philippe Jay at the Institute of Functional Genomics (Montpellier, France) where I was interested on the immuno-modulatory role of tuft cells during a parasitic infection and during the initiation of colorectal cancer.

In October 2019, I joined Dr Fiona Powrie’s lab as a post-doctoral researcher. My project aims to understand how oncomicrobes can alter colon cancer cells and induce a pro-inflammatory environment.
