Ellen Mobbs

Administrative Assistant (Meetings, Events and Communications)

I joined the Kennedy Institute July 2021 as the receptionist and moved to my current role as Administrative Assistant in October. My main duties include organising seminars, meetings and events, I also manage the Kennedy social media.

We invite speakers from all around the world to present in our external seminar series, giving our staff and students the opportunity to hear first-hand about their latest research. Our seminars run both virtually and in person and include opportunities for group and one to one discussions with the speakers. We also run an internal seminar series which allows our students to present their Work-In-Progress within the institute. I am responsible for the scheduling, administration and communication required to ensure these seminars as well as other meetings and events run smoothly.

I also keep our Twitter page @KirOxford up to date with everything happening at the Institute and produce relevant accompanying images.

I hold a degree in Illustration from the University of Gloucestershire and have worked for Oxford University since 2019.
