Amir Khan
MSc by Research student
I graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Birmingham in 2020. During early years of my undergraduate degree, I became interested in molecular, cellular and experimental immunology. This led me to focus my final undergraduate year on Immunology. I completed my research dissertation project in the lab of Prof Graham Anderson, under the supervision of Dr William Jenkinson, on the development of γδ T cells in adult murine models.
To further pursue my interests in immunology and biochemistry, I secured a place on the MSc by Research in Molecular and Cellular Medicine here at the Kennedy Institute, in the lab of Dr Alex Clarke. My project focuses on trying to understand one-carbon metabolism in germinal centre B cells.
