We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior IT Analyst (2nd Line) to join the IT team to help play a crucial part in supporting its valuable research and teaching activities. As a Senior IT Analyst (2nd Line), you will play an important role in providing advanced technical assistance to end-users based across the NDORMS institutes: Botnar Research Centre, Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, and The Kadoorie Centre.
 
Your expertise and knowledge will ensure the efficient functioning of the organisation's IT Support services and infrastructure and enable smooth operations for all members of the department. You will serve as a point of escalation for technical challenges and will be responsible for investigating, diagnosing, and resolving various IT-related problems.
 
This role involves being the initial point of contact for all technical inquiries and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution to maintain uninterrupted research operations. The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of technical expertise, customer service skills, and a keen understanding of the unique challenges faced in a research-focused setting.
 
As a Senior IT Analyst, you must have proven experience as a First/Second Line IT Support or a similar role, demonstrating technical proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a Windows and/or macOS environment. You will be an exceptional communicator with a customer-focused approach to delivering high-quality support combined with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing priorities effectively. Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting tools is essential. Experience of working in higher-education, Oxford University and/or the NHS, as well as knowledge of any of the following platforms: JAMF, Sophos Cloud, ZENworks, PaperCut are desirable.
 
This is a full-time permanent position.
