We are seeking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Human Resources Assistant to join our friendly HR team at Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences, Windmill Road, Oxford.

This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Assistant to join a busy team supporting a large department within the Medical Sciences Division.

As a HR Assistant you will be a first point of contact for all our staff, job applicants, visitors, Access Agreement and Honorary Contract holders. You will provide a friendly and professional HR reception service, carrying out on site Right to Work and ID checks as well as meeting and greeting new staff members and visitors to the department as and when required. You will provide an administrative support to the HR team while adhering to and implementing University HR policies and procedures. You will provide data by running ad hoc reports from the appropriate HR databases, plan and carry out induction sessions for new staff as well as managing the administration of all aspects of recruitment exercises.

You will be educated A level standard, or equivalent administrative qualifications/experience. You will be able to clearly and accurately communicate HR processes and procedures verbally and in writing. Experience of providing a high level of customer service with accuracy and attention to detail, experience of administering recruitment and demonstrable ability to prioritise workload and produce accurate, detailed work within deadlines are essential. Experience of working with an electronic HR system, awareness of current employment law and experience of working in an HR team are desirable.

This is a full-time and permanent post.
