Alice Fuller

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Dr Fuller completed her PhD training in the Wolfson Institute of Biomedical Research at UCL where she investigated the mechanisms underpinning noxious mechanosensation, and the contribution of peripheral proprioceptive neurons to pain. In 2019 she began her postdoctoral training in the Wolfson Centre for Age-related Diseases at KCL and has recently joined the Sensory Neurophysiology group in the Centre of Experimental Medicine and Rheumatology at QMUL. Here she utilises in vivo behavioural and electrophysiology techniques in mice, to investigate the role of cytokines in post-surgical pain and the transition from acute to chronic pain. This project is in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline and will also evaluate the analgesic efficacy of monoclonal antibodies targeting these cytokines.
