For those who don’t know, Green Impact is a change and engagement programme which helps people understand sustainability and social responsibility, shows them what they can do to make a difference, and supports them in achieving these actions. Across the University the programme has saved at least 726 tonnes of CO2 and £145,564 over the past year.
In achieving their Bronze Award, the Kennedy Team completed all 23 of the set criteria (compared to a University average of 18); the Team’s auditor said: “I was impressed by Tiph and Adrian's dedication. They really took on the challenge to make the building more sustainable and it was clear that their participation in the scheme was not limited to a simple box ticking exercise.”
